B is for.....

Busy, Britches and Back to School!

How do those three go together you ask? Well they just do. They describe my life this past week. I've decided to double up on my posts tonight simply because I am BUSY. I expect to be up to my eyeballs in photos and listings over the next few days so I might have to neglect you for a bit.

Busy is good. Busy means I am working. Working means I will make money. Money means I eat LOL. So its good. Plus I like being busy. I am one of those people who just HAS to have something to do. If not, I invent something. I work best in chaos. Good thing around here.

Britches...ahh where would I be without them? They are my sanity in an insane world. My laughs, my tears of sadness and joy, my friends. I look forward to the times I get to "chat" with them.

And back to school. Which around here is the day after Labor Day. Which was last week. And back to school always brings its own unique chaos. But its scheduled chaos and I like that. I like having my routine and schedule.

Here is Madison all decked out in Back to School High School Musical outfit (i tried to get her messenger bag too but she stuck her tongue out at me and walked off).
Well speaking of chaos my friends...I am up way past my bedtime. I will catch up in a few days...

A is for.....

Angel.

There are so many angels that have been in my life lately. I can't begin to describe it. Some made a small difference in an otherwise bleak day. Others did more. But each individual angel has made a huge impact in my life.

I have felt very blessed over the past few months. With great family members, loving friends and a relatively happy life.

I'd like to be able to express my thanks to each of them. But there are no words. And to do so here would only leave out others who have blessed my life in other ways.

But I wanted to touch on three very special angels.

The first has helped me to take care of some obligations. She has also helped Madison to have some things. She can't begin to know how very much what she has done has meant to me.

The second has made it possible for me to give Madison something she desperately wanted. I've thanked her profusely but I am sure it wasn't enough.

And the third but definately not the least. She is continually helping me to be able to help myself. She gives of her time and advice so easily. And the things she has taught me will continue to benefit my future.

For these women and all the other special people in my life...You have my heartfelt thanks. Just know that I intend to pay it forward and keep your good deeds going strong.

So folks, believe me when I say this. Never overlook a person. No matter how they appear. As the old country song goes....what if she's an angel?

ABC's

I am going to borrow a friends idea. In the spirit of keeping my blog somewhat interesting and getting me in the habit of actually writing in it....I am going to start doing posts with the ABC's. A is for... etc...you get the point.

I think this will not only help me remember this darn thing, but will also help me get those creative juices flowing.

Maybe.

I might struggle. My life is quite boring LOL.

But first I need to see how to post pictures to this darn thing.

Signing off for now........

(that was just for Nasty)

I am such a slacker...

I have neglected this blog terribly. I mean summer is almost over and my last post was during spring break. I am awful. So my resolution is to try and post something every day. I sure hope I can remember to do that.

So what's going on with me? Well this summer has been nice. No long trips. No expectations. Just hanging at the house or the beach or wherever we wanted to hang. Tons of "smores nights". We even had a pool party.

But best of all.....Madison is finally stablizing. It's a miracle. Oh and I found a church I kinda like. I'm still getting the feel of it. But so far so good.

Well next week is Madison's birthday. But she wants to have her party at the end of the month. So next week we are just going out to dinner. She wants to take her BFF with us. I can't wait til her party and she gets to see what she's getting. She will be so suprised. Thanks to a special angel.

My experiment for the week? besides listing the tons of Gymbo a client sent me.....I am going to attempt Bakerella's Cupcake Pops. Thats going to be her school treat for her birthday.

I sure hope I bake them better than I bake everything else.

Spring Break

That is what this week is. Spring Break. Might I ask who came up with the name of this? And exactly why did they call it a break? I have never been busier than I am when Madison is out of school. Especially this year. Her school decided to have spring break the week before every other school in the area. GREAT. So now I spend most of the day hearing how bored she is. None of the neighborhood kids are home. Most of her friends have school. And her school friends all have plans.

So what has Spring Break meant? It meant going to the museum for the billionth time. And trying to act like I was remotely interested in the same displays I've seen the other 999,999,999 times we went.

It meant an entire day of playing Boogie on the wii. Okay so that wasn't so bad. I am pretty dang good at that game.

Tomorrow I don't know what we will do. Same for Friday. But we will do something. Otherwise it will be miserable.

I can't wait until Spring Break is over so I can relax.

I need to get with it

I am neglecting this poor blog. And it isn't that I don't have a lot to write about. Madison makes sure there is always SOMETHING going on in my life.

But I never think to pop in here. So here I am and viola...I can think of nothing to say.

I need to do something to give myself something to write. But first I would have to be halfway sane right? Maybe not. Maybe you will enjoy my insanity.

So I live with my 9 year old very overdramatic daughter. And my 56 year old very overdramatic mother. Seriously. You would be shocked at how much alike they can be. Don't get me wrong, I love them both. And my mom has been there for me in more ways than I can ever say thank you for.

But at least one day a week while sitting here at the computer happily ignoring life, I will hear the following.

Madison: Stop looking at me like that
Nana: I'm not doing anything
Madison: Yes you are
Nana: No I'm not
Madison: Yes you are
Nana: No I'm not

You get the idea. And this is very real folks. I do not make this stuff up.

SO I've decided that I need to spread my insanity. Let everyone see it. Maybe they will admit me for an evaluation. You know...the 72 hour lockup thing. I mean seriously. Think about it. A room, alone, quiet...the ability to pee by myself without anyone knocking on the door yelling I NEED TO GO BAD!! (as if I can just stop mid pee since someone else needs the bathroom)...i could read a book...or 10......or just lay there on my bed and enjoy the silence. ANd if I get bored.....I just act a lil crazier and they shoot me up with something to make me sleep. This isn't punishment folks. This is HEAVEN

Faith

Where do I find it? I feel like I am being called to do something very important to me. But how do I do that when my own life is in chaos? I need to find that faith that is leading me there to begin with. It's hard to do. I want to get my life in order first, but is that the way it is meant to happen?

I am so envious of those who trust so blindly and completely. I want to be that way. That is what I am shooting for. Blind faith. Is it too much to ask?

I hope that someday I can look back and see how far I have come. I hope I can get up everyday and feel that I am doing what is right in life. I know I will get there. But trust comes so hard for me.

Well lookie there. I have managed 3 whole posts on this thing. I really need to remember it is here and start talking more.
